In January of 2015, you made an announcement on (1) . It was, "I'm finally able to tell you. I will be playing Belle in (2) - Beauty and the Beast. It was such a big part of my growing up. It almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to Be Our Guest and sing something there. My six-year-old self is on the (3) ." What changed between then and now what was the thing you didn't expect? That you wish you'd (4) . Was it the singing? was that the hardest part to learn?

That it was all gonna be okay hands down. I think you know, there were so many new things that I was taking on with the role. I'd never done a musical before. I'd never sung, I mean I'd always sung, but I'd never (5) . I'd never sung in front of any professionally before, in front of anyone else. I'd never (6) - for a movie before. I'd never danced for a movie before. So like, I kind of went into this (7) before we started shooting, which was like singing four times a week, dancing five times a week, riding three times a week. Yeah, that was boot camp.

On the ceiling, yeah. No, I mean, I think (8) to have already played one of my (9) , which was Hermione, and then to get to play another one. I feel like that's almost unique to an actress, to get to do that. So I was like, wow, this is, um, it just felt (10) to have the career that I'm having.

You know, in my house, we are (1) . My wife and my kids love the Disney cartoons and, you know, even among people who grew up with them and are now adults in their older years, grew up with, you know, these Cinderella and Pinocchio. Beauty and the Beast is a much more recent one from the 90s, but it means so much. The (2) is as intense as Star Wars or Marvel, DC, Harry Potter.

What I love about Belle is that she's kind of, if you look at her within sort of the category of those Disney characters, she's kind of the (3) . She's a, she kind of like, she takes a different course. That was always what I loved about Belle. Like when I think about Belle, I think about her singing Belle Reprise, which is her sort of (4) and singing this song which is this kind of like (5) , which is, you know, I know everyone around me can't understand why I don't want what everyone else thinks that I should want and which is being handed to me, but I really just want something more, I want something else, like I don't, this doesn't fit, I don't fit. She kind of, like the Robert Frost poem, she (6) . And I always really identified with that. She's, Belle (7) . She's really on her own, just on her own path.

That's like her sound of music scene too. [Totally, yeah.] She runs up into the hills and (8) at her town. And it's also an (9) , isn't it? Because she says that for once it would be grand to have someone understand. I have so much more than they have planned. And you get the sense of (10) .

Definitely, and I think that, in the end is where Beast and Belle (11) , is because they both feel really lonely. They both feel like (12) . Belle is kind of trapped in her (13) , in her village, and Beast is trapped in this (14) , and there's this sort of strange mirroring, there's this strange parallel where only when they're together, do things kind of feel like they make sense. And that's where they start to really (15) . Yeah, they make sense of one another, for each other.
