Alex
Yes, I have. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. I am so excited to finally work with all of you. I have some questions I wanted to ask though.
Anna
Sure! First off, we will discuss the company's goals and history, employee behavior, code of conduct, and the overview of what the handbook is about. Then, we will address your concerns. Would that be alright with you?
Alex
I would appreciate that. Thank you!
Anna
As you can see in your orientation manual, this company strives to be one of the best marketing agencies in the country. We were established in 2001 and have been providing quality service to our clients since then . We value confidentiality, so we would need you to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Alex
No problem. Which departments do we closely work with frequently throughout the organization?
Anna
Your primary contacts are the Customer Service and Research and Development personnel. Everyone is expected to maximize their time for productivity, so unnecessary chitchats are discouraged. Smoking is also prohibited.
Alex
I'll take note of that.

DIALOGUE 2
Situation:

You will be given ten days of vacation leave and accrued leaves may be carried over from one year to the next.
Alex
If I have ten vacation days, am I allowed to use them all at once?
Anna
That is allowed. However, we don't encourage our employees from doing so to avoid burnout.
Alex
I agree on that.
Anna
The wage is stated in your company offer letter and overtime is highly encouraged and properly compensated.
Alex
I am willing to work overtime. Is there someone on the team who could be my mentor during my first few weeks?
Anna
Your manager will give an in-depth orientation and guide you all throughout your training. That's all from the Human Resource team. Again, welcome to Tabisuta!
Alex
Awesome! Thank you so much for a very informative orientation, Anna. I'll see you then.
