LET'S UNDERSTAND! 📚

Body actions are any movements of the body that communicates or emphasizes meaning.

1. to lift

  • to move something from a lower to a higher position

TO LIFT


2. to pack

  • to put something into a bag, box, etc

TO PACK


3. to push

  • to use physical pressure or force, especially with your hands, in order to move something into a different position, usually one that is farther away from you

TO PUSH


4. to crawl

  • to move along on hands and knees or with your body stretched out along a surface

TO CRAWL


5. to pull

  • to move something toward yourself, sometimes with great physical effort

TO PULL


6. to catch

  • to take hold of something, especially something that is moving through the air

TO CATCH


7. to kick

  • to hit someone or something with the foot, or to move the feet and legs suddenly and violently

TO KICK


8. to taste

  • to put food or drink in your mouth to find out what flavor it has

TO TASTE


9. to blow

  • to move and make currents of air, or to be moved or make something move on a current of air

TO BLOW


10. to whisper

  • to speak very quietly, using the breath but not the voice, so that only the person close to you can hear you
