A lot of people always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. However, many students skip breakfast and immediately go to school, so they don’t have energy during their classes. To resolve this, some schools are offering free breakfast before classes start. Schools hope that with this, students will have the energy and nutrients they need to last the day.

Special Islands



There are a lot of islands in Japan where we can see plants that cannot be found in other places. For this reason, they are popular tourist attractions for visitors. Some tourist guides offer tours around their islands. By doing this, they help visitors learn more about special environments. Surely, these places will be more attractive to people in the future.

Past Continuous Tense (Past Progressive Tense)


• refers to a continuing action or state that was happening at some point in the past.

• this is often combined with a past simple tense. In this combination, the simple past tense interrupted the past progressive tense action.

         I was making dinner when he arrived at my house this evening.


• This tense shows that something happened in the middle of something else happening.

• The 1st action is always in the past progressive form and the interrupting action is in the simple past regardless of its order in the sentence.
